It's probably a bit late to post these now, because the auction runs out in a few hours, but here is the latest batch of P'tit velo cyclists to approach the finish line.
They include a special edition, never to be done again (because it was a complete pain in the arse to to), Team Condor Paul Smith Japan cyclist (above). This is a charity auction in aid of Japan Disaster Relief.
On Ebay now here, here, and here

Here's a couple more P'tit Velo which are presently pedalling their way to a new life on Ebay.
This release features another Rapha Condor Sharp team rider, this time with a new and imnproved 2011 team outfit.
The other fella is in a more laidback mood, riding in a Rapha+Paul Smith purple short sleeved Henley and a red and green striped Rapha+Paul Smith racing cap.
The auctions can be found here and here.

The sun has been shining and the flowers are out, which seemed like as good a reason as any to give the latest little cyclists a couple of outfits from the Rapha spring summer 2011 collection.
So you get lightweight jerseys, one in sky blue and the other in yellow, and a couple of the new club jerseys - in sky blue and red, and pink and grey.
On ebay now.

Here's a few more of my P'tit Velo cyclists making their way through the paint process, waiting for a bit of colour to come into their lives.
The first batch is already winging its way around the globe, and I have taken my first commission. The tour of the tabletop has begun.
The two at the bottom are up for auction on Ebay now. Here and here. Be quick.

Rapha in miniature: riding your way

You're going to see a bit more of these little cyclists over the coming weeks. They are the legendary P'tit Velo, the inspiration for generations of French youngsters to take up riding.
They are still manufactured in France by Roger Fonderie more than 50 years after they were first produced, unchanged in materials and appearance.
The little fellas were immortalised in a feature on them and the photography of Janol Apin in issue 11 of Rouleur.
Over the coming weeks I will be offering for sale cyclists I have painted in various states of Rapha dress. These will be the ultimate collectable, each wearing an individual outfit.
You can find the first rider, in the 2010 Condor Sharp team kit, on Ebay now.
